I’m a cell biologist by training, currently specializing in medical cell biology at Central Finland Hospital Nova while finishing my PhD in the Levonen Lab at UEF. My interests span all aspects of science, with a particular focus on deciphering cancer-TME interactions, as well as applying computational methods and next-gen omics in diagnostic pathology. I joined the Ivaska Lab in February 2024 to work part-time on cancer invasion, specifically focusing on intercellular interactions in breast cancer by utilizing next-gen methods. A great working day for me involves a mix of programming, lab work, neat data, conversing with colleagues, and many cups of coffee.
