Valeriia Grudtsyna

I am a postdoctoral researcher focusing on the role of macrophages in carcinoma unjamming. Primarily, I am interested in disentangling their biophysical contribution. During my Ph.D., which I obtained in Amin Doostmohammadi's group at the University of Copenhagen, I investigated the physics of collective mechanotransduction in epithelial cells. I got my M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering at Lund University. During my thesis, which I did under the supervision of Vinay Swaminathan, I studied the orientational order of F-actin and integrins in focal adhesions. Outside of the lab, I enjoy running, aerial acrobatics, and cozy evenings writing in the company of my cat Mushu.
